Under 14’s Rotherham league report 29/09/18

Lions under 14’s team battled through a hard day of games but fell short in all 3 games this weekend.

Our under 14’s team was in action in a challenging day of games playing 2 of the strongest teams in the league.

The 1st game was against the Blackhawks which Lions lost the game 9 – 2. Our players started off slow and struggled to get into the game for the 1st period as we played with 3 players under the weather. Our players managed to pull together for the 2nd period pulling 2 goals back, but the Blackhawks were to strong on the day for our players to pull the game back.

Lions Star of the game went to #78 Alfie Kelly

Our 2nd game was against the Cyclones who are in a fight for the league and Lions lost the game 11 – 1. Again, our players never gave up in the game and even though they lost the game the players started to show glimpse of coming together as a team and kept their shape in defence, but the Cyclones experience showed though going on to win the game.

Lions Star of the game went to #10 Pierre Mosabbir

The 3rd game was against the league Favorites Outlaws. This was again another game where lions showed a lot of heart and never give up attitude. Lions had more shape to the team this time and battled hard in this game, but the Outlaws experience was there for everyone to see and they won the game 12 – 0

Lions Star of the Game went to #35 Ethan Trickett

Lions next league games are on the 20th of October where we take on the Rattlers and Khaos.

Lions still have places left for this season if any players would like to come and join us for the 2018/2019 season. For more information see our contact us page.
